AlexOS Privacy Policy

This policy describes how AlexOS — Alex’s private personal operating system — uses Google account data. AlexOS is a personal, single-user External app used only by alexos.findley@gmail.com.

Google data accessed (read-only)

AlexOS requests only read-only Google OAuth scopes. It does not create, update, or delete Google data.

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — read calendar events to show today’s schedule and related personal context.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks.readonly — read tasks (for example due today or overdue) for personal task context.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.readonly — read the Findley Money Plan spreadsheet for personal finance context.

How credentials are handled

OAuth client credentials and refresh tokens are stored server-side as Cloudflare Worker secrets. The frontend never receives production secrets. Access tokens are obtained and used only on the server to call Google APIs on behalf of the single authorized account.

Data use, retention, and sharing

• Use: Google data is used solely to assemble personal operating-system context for Alex (for example a daily brief). It is not used for advertising, profiling for sale, or unrelated product features.
• Retention: Data fetched from Google is processed to produce personal views and is not retained longer than needed for that purpose. OAuth refresh tokens are retained as Worker secrets until revoked or rotated.
• Sharing: AlexOS does not sell Google user data. Data is not shared with third parties except as required to operate the service (for example Cloudflare infrastructure hosting the Workers) or as required by law.

Revocation and deletion

You can revoke AlexOS access at any time in your Google Account under Third-party access (Google Account → Security → Third-party access). After revocation, AlexOS can no longer obtain new Google access tokens with the stored refresh token.

To request deletion of stored OAuth credentials or related server-side configuration for this personal app, contact alexos.findley@gmail.com. Google data itself remains in your Google account; AlexOS only held read-only access.
